How to book a tour & How to pay to us?
After receiving your inquiry, we will work out an ideal tour itinerary and price with full understanding of your requirements (we might have more questions).
When it finally meets your satisfaction, it's time for you to book your Tibet trip with us. Here are some easy steps to book a tour with CITS, New Journey-Tibet travel:
1) State in an email to tell us that you accept the tour itinerary and price we provided (together with inclusions and exclusions);
2) Reservations and Payments
a. We suggest you book your Tibet tour at least 45 days before your arrival date, especially for the peak season of August and September. A deposit of $100 per person is required to secure your reservation when you confirm your trip with us. The balance can be paid when you arrive at Chengdu Office. Or If you don't come to Chengdu , it should be paid in full no later than 15 days prior to your arrival in Tibet.
b. If the booking is made within 30 days but 15 days prior to your arrival in Lhasa, you are required to pay 50% of the total payment to secure your reservation when you confirm your trip with us. The balance can be paid when you arrive at Chengdu Office. Or If you don't come to Chengdu , it should be paid in full no later than 7 days prior to your arrival in Tibet.
c. If the booking is made within 15 days prior to your arrval in Lhasa, you are required to pay in full payment.
3)Payment Methods

If you don't want to use Wire Transfer from bank, our company can give you the most easily way send your deposit:
- Email us give your credit card information: Credit card's name, Your full name, Credit card's Vality Date
- Get the deposit confirming information from your Bank
- 3-5 days later our bank get your money then we email your back.
4)Alteration
If you wish to change your tour, you must inform our staff at least 15 working days before your departure date. Any extra charge or loss incurred due to such change will be borne by you.
5)Cancellation& Refunding
You may cancel your tour after it is confirmed with payment, you will be liable to pay cancellation charges. Cancellation charges are as follows:
a. Cancellation of a tour no less than 30 working days before your tour start date, 50USD as cancellation fee will be charged.
b. Cancellation of a tour 30-15 working days prior to your tour start date, 10% of the tour fare as cancellation fee will be charged.
c. Cancellation of a tour 15-7 working days prior to your tour start date, 30% of the tour fare as cancellation fee will be charged.
d. Cancellation of a tour less than 7 working days prior to your tour start date, 50% of the tour fare will be charged.
e. Cancellation of a tour no show at the tour starts, 100% of the tour fare will be charged.
If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by forces, such as weather, unforeseen circumstances, political upheavals, etc., neitherparty shall be held responsible, and any extra cost thus caused shall be covered by the tourist himself.
If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by an air or rail transportation company, or other factors that are beyond the control of Windhorse tour Operators, we shall not be held responsible for the losses thus caused.
If a tourist has to leave his tour group because of accident, injury, or serious illness, a refund of 50% of the unused tour fare shall be made to the tourist. No refund will be made available for a tour member who otherwise quit the tour group on his own account.
No refund shall be given for any portions for the tour package unused by the participant of his own accord.
* All cancellations must be in written form and will only be effective upon receipt by Windhorse Tour in specified time as per tour.
6) At the time you pay the deposit, we also need some information of every member in order to apply for your PSB or TTB permit:
- full name;
- gender;
- date of birth;
- passport number;
- nationality;
- all exactly the same as on your passport. And you need to tell us your occupation because journalists and people that could be involved in political matters could be revoked (they need more complicated procedure to get a permit). 7) Once we received your deposit, we will make all the reservations according to your itinerary within one week. We will send you a confirmation letter when all the bookings are secured. At this time all you need is to pack up for your lifetime trip to Tibet!
8)Insurance & Documentation
Please make sure to purchase your international standard of travel insurance coverage before your departure from your country. You have to obtain your China Visa before your trip to China.
